Question: Girls this question is for you!!?
U know everytime I come home from school and I go to the bathromm, I see white stuff on my underwear I don't know what that is!.What is it!? Does it mean that my first period will come soon or something like that!? I didn't get my first period yet!.So please help me!.Thank you :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's called discharge, and it's completely normal!.
it doesn't necessarily mean you will get your period though!.
if there is a change or increase in it, then yes!. It may mean you will!.
But if it has an odd color, or smell, it may mean you have an infection!.
so watch for it!.

This is discharge, no need to be scared!. All girls get this normally 6months - 1 year before you first period!. Sometimes it can be as much as 4 years, and as little as a week!.
Discharge can vary from clear, yellow and white!. If it becomes green, or smells bad, then this means that you probably have a yeast infection!.
When did your mom get her period!? You will probably get yours around the same time as her!. :)
Also, if the discharge becomes heavy, which mine did!. Then i suggest wearing a pantliner, so it doesnt become uncomfortable!. I also suggest putting some pads in your bag, so when you do get your period, you are ready!. :)

this stuff is discharge from your vagina, which is just a fancy way of saying its cleaning itself out!. this is a sigh of puberty but can't tell you exactly when your going to get your period, but if it starts to come out a darker color of red or brown most of the time your period is near when that happens!.
