Women please read?? thank you :)?!

Question: Women please read!?!? thank you :)!?
today i went and got checked out 'down there' at the doctors, (im only 14) and it was THE MOST EMBARRASING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!. my doctor was sooooooooooo lovely and was all like 'i do this everyday, doooont worry, we wont ever speak of it again' and she was so lovely and it wasnt so bad when it was actually happening but like SO incredibly embarrasing after and stuff!! so basically!. i got checked out because i am 100% sure i have a septate hymen- ive seen it with a mirror, ive felt it, ive done my research and i KNOW it is septate!! and i know this is ridiculous because my doctor is a doctor who knows everything about a body so obviously she is right, but when she was feeling down there i could feel that she was feeling in the wrong place!. like for ages when i first tried to put a tampon in thats where i was feeling and it wasnt the actual correct place and then i found it and so on!. but yeah i think my doctor is wrong! but i know that sounds ludicrous!! what shall i do!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to get a second opinion ask if its possible to see another doctor then see what happens my mum had to do that as she was wrongly diagnosed good luck Www@Answer-Health@Com

Doctor's know what they are looking for, so don't worry on that score!. It really isn't worth getting embarrassed about because in life, a woman has many internals to endure!. The cease to be embarrassing as you get older!. The doctor has seen hundreds of vagina's!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do not think your doctor is wrong!. If she did a complete pelvic exam she could visualize everything clearly and she would have been able to see your anatomy!. What DID she say about your concern about the septate hymen!? She knows where to check, she would not have checked in the wrong spot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You definitely can see your hymen!. And if it is really septate, you should probably get surgery, and I'm surprised you were able to use tampons!. Go back and talk to the doctor!. I doubt she was wrong, she was probably just doing something different then you're used to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are absolutely certain, you could go to a different doctor, or the same doctor again, but this time, tell them where you think it is!. i would definitely do this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

LOL First off you can't see your hymen!! Only a doctor with the right knowledge can feel it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

like, get over yourself!. maybe YOU were feeling in the wrong place, did that ever occur you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm 27 and I'd never heard of a septate hymen never mind worried about having one! The internet has a lot to answer for!.!.!.

Anyway, it doesn't sound as though having it is anything other than an inconvenience for the time being as you'll just struggle to use tampons!. I couldn't use a tampon till I was about 17/18 (started my periods aged 14) just cos I couldn't get the hang of it not because I had a septate hymen!. Just keep using pads for the time being and every period you have give it a go when you're heavy and if you can't don't worry try next time!.

As for your doctor being wrong and not looking in the right place!. I'm afraid that's highly unlikely and to spare yourself another embarrassing experience of your life I'd just take her word for it and forget about it till you have sex (hopefully in more than 2 years time!) and if it's a problem then, then go to another doctor and get it checked out!. But in the mean time just carry on as normal and don't worry yourself about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
