How long after beginning Yaz birth control is it okay to have unprotected sex?!
Question: How long after beginning Yaz birth control is it okay to have unprotected sex!?
My case is a bit different because my doctor started me on Yaz the day after my visit, which was about 13 days before I was supposed to get my period!. So I'm a bit confused about how long I should have waited before having unprotected sex!. For those doing Sunday start or First day of period it says to wait a week, but since my case was different I'm wondering if I should have waited longer than one weekWww@Answer-Health@Com

It's still just a week!. If you start the pill on the first day of your cycle, you are protected immediately!. If you start at any other point, like you did, you are protected after seven days of continuous pill-taking!.
According to Planned Parenthood:
"If you start the combination pill within five days after the start of your period, take the first active pill of the first pack!. You will not need to use a back up method of birth control!. You are protected against pregnancy immediately!.
If you start the combination pill at any other time during your menstrual cycle, take the first active pill of the first pack!. Use another method of birth control if you have vaginal intercourse during the first week of combination pill use
