What other ways can I reduce menstrual bloating?!

Question: What other ways can I reduce menstrual bloating!?
Hey, I've just developed bloating during PMS about 4 months ago!. It has gotten really bad!. It lasts for about 2 weeks sometimes more!. My whole lower stomach is basically swollen and I can't even wear jeans or shirts I usually wear!. It has really affected my daily routine!. My mom doesn't want be to take diurex or midol because she feels they're not good for your body and may cause dehydration!. So I've been taking this natural supplement called Acidophilus with citrus pectin, and have been doing daily crunches, and drinking plenty of water!. But nothing seems to be working!. Are there any other solutions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I take Ginger supplements everyday which are supposed to help with pelvic circulation and I think they have helped me a little!.

Can you see a doctor!? I used to get HORRIFIC bloating and I had a laparoscopy done and they found some endometriosis and lasered it off, and this has helped with my bloating!. But, I went through 4 jerky doctors who told me there was nothing wrong with me and that I didn't have endometriosis because I didn't "fit the profile," before I found one who suggested doing a lap and found the endo!. Also ovarian cysts can cause bad bloating like you are describing and they can find them on a ultrasound!.

Not to be disrespectful but I think your mom should let you take the diurex!. I agree with your mom that taking diurex ALL time is bad for you, like women who just take it to get water out of their system and look skinnier!. But I think it is better for a couple weeks out of the month to help with bloating than being so miserable!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Taking alfalfa in tablet form (you can find it at Wal-Mart) could probably be of help but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say but in the mean time cutting back on the amount of salt you eat during this time could be of help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
