Question: Question about the depo provera!?
so i decided i will get the depo! but know im wondering how long does it take for it to start working!? you see my period was on the 10 but my appointment isn't until tuesday!? will i have to use a backup method!? and if i do for how long!? thanks ladies!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I loved depo but only took it for 2 years due to the threat of bone loss!. I was not allowed to get it unless I was on my cycle!.!.!.!.but was told it would start working within one week!. but would work right away since i was switching from the pill to depo without any time between the 2 methodsWww@Answer-Health@Com
i usually got my shot during my period as i was told you can only get it during your menstrual cycle!. and you should use a back up until usually 2-3 days after getting the shot if you can even a week!. even though it oes directly into your blood it doesnt mean your body takes it in right away!. but i would think twice before going into this method bc i was depressed and low esteem and also very moody!. you should look for somethign elseWww@Answer-Health@Com
