I just found out I'm anemic but...?!


Question: I just found out I'm anemic but!.!.!.!?
I seem to lack the "always colder than others" symptom!? If anything lately my temp has been going up and down like a roller coaster and I've actually been HOT more so than others!. My doctor informed me I was anemic last Friday!. My mother informed me that it runs on both sides of the family *wishes she would have told me this sooner though*!. My doctor said I would need to take iron supplements but how much would I need to take when I'm on my period!? THAT is when my anemia tends to be VERY severe *naturally*!. I'll be about 2 shades lighter and have flu like symptoms when I'm on!. But lately *period isn't do until around December 4th-9th hopefully*, I've been more tired than I've been in my life!. I can sleep from 8:30pm until 10:30am and STILL wake up fatigued!. I do also have symptoms SIMILAR to Pregnancy but they did a urine test and I'm not pregnant!. If I was *at the time of testing* then I would have been about 3-4 weeks!. Plus my period came on a week early than it should!.!.!.!.so right now I know it's my anemia that has me so tired and out of energy, Whats the BEST kind of iron supplements to take!?!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm so sorry that you are experiencing the symptoms of anemia!. It can be stressful!. But, I think an Iron supplement isn't all you need!. You should take Pre-natal vitamins!. they offer iron as well as other vitamins!. (plus iron supplement pills make you really constipated)
Look for one that contains approximately:

* 4,000 and 5,000 IU (international units) of vitamin A
* 800 and 1,000 mcg (1 mg) of folic acid
* 400 IU of vitamin D
* 200 to 300 mg of calcium
* 70 mg of vitamin C
* 1!.5 mg of thiamine
* 1!.6 mg of riboflavin
* 2!.6 mg of pyridoxine
* 17 mg of niacinamide
* 2!.2 mcg of vitamin B-12
* 10 mg of vitamin E
* 15 mg of zinc
* 30 mg of iron

but also be sure to be eating foods that have a high iron count
