Congrats on the pregnancy!
It doesn't hurt unless you're very nervous and tensed up!. I've recently had my very first pap and it was pretty awkward!. It was just weird to have my vagina in someone else's face!. At first, she'll apply the area with some kind of cream, and then she'll insert this clamp-like object in yoru vagina!. Then just relax, and it's over!.
I'm not sure about the whole sensitive thing!. You can always ask her!. Good luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com

Congrats on your pregnancy!
I've read all the other posts, and they're a bit incorrect!.
Since you're 11 weeks pregnant, your body now has 40% more blood volume than before!. Everything in your genitals are engorged, and the nerves are on high alert!. It WILL hurt!. Trust me!. If you see the doctor use a giant q-tip, you're good!. If you see something that looks like a bristle, you can expect a gush of blood like someone spilled a wine cup!. My idiot of a doctor used it, and put my baby at risk for a miscarriage!. Not surprisingly, he lost his license by another pregnant patient!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not at all
A little weird, but it doesn't hurt!.
To keep you open down there, the device the use can either be plastic or metal!. The metal ones can be cold, and thats just a shock to the system!.
If they find something wrong they will go back in, and go in farther!. This hurts a little bit!. They use something that looks similar to a metal mascara brush and put it into the tip of your uterus!. But like I said, they only do this if they've already found something wrong!.
If your getting it done by a male doctor, make sure there is a women in the room!. It's the law!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's more uncomfortable than it is painful!. Tell the ob/gyn its your first pap!. They should use a smaller speculum, tell you everything they're doing before they do it, and be gentle!. Try not to be anxious about it!. It makes your body tense up and that could create unnecessary discomfort during the exam!. Congrats on the pregnancy and good luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com
