I am getting freaked out about getting a pap next week, can anything go wrong?!
Question: I am getting freaked out about getting a pap next week, can anything go wrong!?
Ok, so this is a ridiculous fear of mine!.
I have already gotten 3 paps and they were ok!. However, my doctor is no longer with my health care provider!. I really need to check for a certain STI (no symptoms, but I don't want to take a chance)!. By the time I find a new doctor it could be awhile!.
For this reason I made an appointment with my university's student health services!. However, I am freaking out since this will be my first pap from someone other than my doctor!. I have trust issues, and I have only had 2 different doctors in my life for this reason!.
Is there anything awful that can happen!? I made the appointment with a female nurse practitioner!. This will be my 4th pap but I am so freaked out! Help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's all routine and anyone who is doing it will be a trained proffesional!.
Just relax and try not to think about it too much before hand to avoid getting yourself worked up!.
You will be fine and it's great that yo uare taking such good care of yourself!
