Pregnancy Test at Night?!

Question: Pregnancy Test at Night!?
So last night I went to Wal-Mart and bought their brand of pregnancy test!. I read a load of questions about them on here before I bought one, just to be sure it would work as well as a more expensive one!.

I took the test last night and to my relief it was negative!. Does me taking it at night (about 9!.30 or so) affect the results of the test!? I am definitely going to take another one in a couple of days but I just wanted to be sure I could take it at any point in time during the day and the result would be the same!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
no, the time of day wont matter!. Most measure a hormone in the urine called hCG!. However you can get false negatives by testing too early after the day of intercourse!. As you said, check again in a couple of weeks and again about 3 weeks after the day you had intercourse!. If its negative then its likely to be a true negative!. Hope this helps, good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The reason they recommend taking a urine test in the morning is because after sleeping and not going pee for some many hours the HCG hormones has a chance to concentrate and be detected!.

How late are you!? You should test at two weeks late!. Or get a blood test to know for sure!.

Stress can cause you to skip or miss a period along with not eating right, changes in weight, medications etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hCG levels can be detected at approx 12-14 days after conception by urine, so if it has been that long since intercourse you may get an accurate reading!. However it is stated and recommended to use the first mornings urine to get an accurate reading, taking them at night is not recommended unless that is your first days urine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The hormones that the HPT detects in urine are generally highest in the morning!. You should take the HPT in the morning as soon as you get up!. You will get a more accurate result!. Also, it will depend when your period is due!. If you are not late yet then it could be too early for you to test!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

They say that the pregnancy hormone is at it's highest levels in the morning, but you could take the test any time of day and if you are pregnant, the hormone WILL show up on the test, thus making the test accurate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
