Question: What happend your first pelvic exam!?
Okay so I know that soon I will have to have my first pelvic exam and I am really worried!. I have read online that you have to have one starting as early as age 15!. Is this true!? And I am really worried about it and I have trouble talking to my mom about stuff like that can somebody help me please!?!!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's nothing to ne worried about!. The doc will go over everything with you before your exam!. They have they duck bill shaped instrument that they insert into you and then swab around!. It may pinch a little bit!. Then she/he usually inserts two fingers and presses down on your stomach!. This is just feeling to make sure everything is ok!. Mine always checks by breast for any lumps and then gives me a bag of condoms!.

I don't think that you HAVE to have one as early as age 15!. I had my first one at age 20!. I think that if you are sexually active you should have one but it's not a rule to have one starting at age 15!. Be sure and let the doctor know that you are very nervous so they can be gentle!. Also let them know that this is your first pelvic exam!. Since you are 15 won't your mom be the one taking you to the doctor for this!? Let her know that you are scared so maybe she can also ask the doctor to be as gentle as possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Gynecologist usually will not give a 15 year old a pelvic exam unless they are sexually activity!. I didn't have my first exam until I was 19!. It is nothing to worry about!. It is more uncomfortable and a little embarrassing if anything!. If you go to a regular gyno they have a nurse that stays in the room while they exam is done!. There will be a nurse in there with you!. Your mom could stay if you wanted her to!. You just have to be honest and open with mom and tell her that you need to talk to her and that you need her to LISTEN to what you are saying!. Like the first person said, no need for worry even though we all know you will none of like it most of us put it off as long as possible!. But it is usually quick and not too uncomfortable!. dont be worried about it!.it takes like 2 minutes they just insert this tool in your vagina and they open it a little so they can see inside there a little and they put one or two fingers in you!.!.push up with them and then they take two fingers and push down on the outside of ur stomach annd then their done!Www@Answer-Health@Com
