Luckily, it's almost impossible to accurately guess how many tablespoons of blood there is when you have your period!. It ALWAYS looks like it's way more than it really is!. :) And clots don't really mean you're bleeding too much!. Some people have them, some people don't!.
The best way to know if you're bleeding too much is if you have to change your (regular) pad or tampon every hour or less!. If that's the case, you really should either call your doctor or, if you're also feeling lightheaded, go to the ER!. Also, if you're feeling lightheaded or too tired all the time that can be a sign that you're bleeding too much, too, but that generally happens only if you've been having very heavy periods for several months in a row!.
If you have to change your pad or tampon every 2 or 3 hours for the first couple of days and then it goes back to normal, you should be good to go!. Same goes if you have to use the super strength tampons or the big pads throughout your period as long as you only have to change them every 4 hours or so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's perfectly fine!. I've only had mine for 2 years and I'm only 13, and that's how mine is too!. Even though you've had yours for already 3 years, it doesn't mean that your period is going to be regular all of the time!. Even people who are like 35-40 years old who's periods still go a little off course sometimes!. So your fine!. But, do notice if your concerned, it shouldn't still be like this when your on your 5 or 6th day and your still getting 2-3 tablespoons of blood, then go to your doctor as it might be urgent!.
