Question: Birth Contol!? Please Help! :]!?
My friends dad told her she was going to be put on birth contol when she is 16 not matter what [she is 12 going on 13]!. Is that healthy!? She is not the kind to go and have sex either, and she doesn't take any intrest in boy in that way [shes straight]!. Would it be healthy for her to take birth controls if she isn't sexually active!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's nothing that would be "unhealthy" about her being on birth control just because she's not sexually active!. Lots of girls take BC for reasons other than sex (cramps, acne, regulating your cycle!.)
Anyway, the real problem here is that her dad doesn't trust her and that he would force her to take a medication she doesn't want!. At 16, she would have the right to refuse it!. However, she's 12 now, and a LOT in your life can change in 4 years!. By then she'll be in high school, and the probability of having a serious boyfriend would be much higher!. For all you know, by then she might be ready to be on the pill, and it might be a decision she would want after all!.

My doctor put me on it and I'm not sexually active!. If its for medical reasons and she's being prescribed it then its likely go be healthy for her otherwisee she wouldn't have had it prescribed!.
