Question: Has anyone seen that *incorrect* MTV It's Your Sex Life commercial!?
When I saw it, I was shocked!. I don't remember it exactly, but there is a man and a woman and this guy comes in and tells them to use a condom because it will give them complete protection!. Maybe they don't use the world "complete," I don't remember, but it definitely implies that condoms will protect you against anything!.
Um yeah, FYI MTV, condoms do not give total protection against herpes or HPV!. And HPV can kill you!

for the record, condoms don't give you complete protection against anything!.
A girl can get pregnant, you can get HIV/AIDS, HSV, HPV, LGV, chancroid, CMV, Hepatitis B, MC, Kaposi's sarcoma, crabs, syphilis, gonorrhoea!.!.!. the list goes on!. And any one of them can kill you (yes, including pregnancy), depending on circumstances!.
Condoms have a 2-5% failure rate when it comes to BODY FLUID EXCHANGE!. Of course, HPV and HSV do not need fluid exchange, just touching of affected areas!.!.!.
However, condoms give you better protection against infections than any other method except ABSTINENCE!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I haven't seen this commercial, but it's probably giving the same message that is given in sex ed!. classes!. You know they say a condom is the best way to have safe sex, but when you look at the condom box it has the fine print where it says that a condom does not protect you 100% against pregnancy, std's, etc!.!.!.
If they don't have fine print at the bottom of the screen, then they're probably assuming that you know that there are risks even when you do use a condom, but using one is a hell of a lot safer than not!.

It's funny, I always think about the same thing when commercials such as those come on!. And Alot of people don't actually know this, it's very true that anybody can contract Herpes or HPV even with a condom!. You have noo idea how many times I tell people this, and they're like "whaat!?!?"Www@Answer-Health@Com
