Answers:
No you don't need an exam but it's best to get one before starting any new medication!. Birth control like many other medicines can cause side-effects or may not be appropriate means of contraception for everyone depending on your family history, blood pressure, etc!. But, if you still want to order birth control without seeing a gynecologist you can get it from planned parenthood!. Heres the link: good luck!

when i went to get my birth control, i was a virgin!. so she told me that it was unnecessary to!. however when i went back 6 months later, i had to get the exam!. it depends on the place you go!. the clinic is payed for my the government!. in connecticut, the planned parenthood goes off of how much you make yearly!. they probably would give it to you for free if needed!. You have to talk to a doctor because all oral contraceptives have side effects, and because there's so many different brands, the doctor has to determine which one is the right one for you based on your medical history!.

They don't need to have blood work done on you if that's what you're asking!. Its more like an interview about what your medical needs are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

At planned parenthood, they provide a "Well Woman" exam as well as birth control!. They provide both at a sliding scale cost!. When I was working part time, I paid $10 only for the exam and $5 for each month of birth control!. I think its free if you are unemployed!. And if you're making decent money, they'll charge you more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Every doctor I have been to required a pap smear!. If you go to your normal doctor, chances are you'll have to pay for the BC!. Clinics like Planned Parenthood typically go according to your income, if you don't qualify for free BC, you might be able to get it at a reduced price!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
