What happens when you go off of Depo-Provera?!

Question: What happens when you go off of Depo-Provera!?
I'm 19 years old, and I've been on the birth control shot Depo-Provera for a little over 2 years!. But for personal reasons I have decided not to go get my shot this month, and go off of it completely!. I haven't had my period in the years I've been taken depo-provera, so I was wondering how long will it take me to start having my period again!? And is there any other side effects that I should know about!. I heard a few women saying that their boobs got really sore when they went off of it!. I just want to be prepared for anything!.
I would appreciate if you could tell me how long you have or had been on Depo-Provera with your answer!. Thanks for the Help!

If you haven't done research about depo-provera, or have not been on it I do not want your opinions! I do not go off of rumors for those who think it's a horriable drug that will make me not have babies!. I am not stupid! and I did research before I went on the shot!. It may take up to a year for you to have regular cycles again, but for most women it doesn't take this long - only a few months!. It's also totally normal for women to experience irregular bleeding patterns for awhile after stopping depo!.

It may also take up to a year for your fertility to return, but it could return right away, so you should use another method if you don't want to get pregnant!.

I've never heard anything about breast soreness, but I guess something like that makes sense after a hormonal change!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
