I want to get on birth control!. it's a type that can make me have less periods (which i want so badly), and is safe!. I'm just afraid that the doctor will tell my mother that i'm having sex!. Will they tell her!? or is it confidential even though i'm 15 going on 16 in january!? I'm so afraid because my mother doesn't know!. or at least i don't think so!. you know that look that parents give you when they know something you never even remotely told them about!? yeah, she does that to me!. please help me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since you're 15, your doctor can probably keep it a secret from your parents if you ask her to!.
But if your mom keeps on giving you "the look", she probably suspects something that may or may not have something to do with you being sexually active!. I think the best idea is to be honest and just tell her you are sexually active and want to be on birth control!. Why are you worried to tell her this!? Is it because you feel it's too private and are embarrassed!? Or do you think she'll judge you're not ready!?
Either ways, you should at least tell ONE adult you trust about this!.

Doctors are bound by a confidentialiy law so legally they cannot tell your mom unless it is something that will signifigantly effect your health!. Make sure your doctor knows that you don't want your mom to know, just in case!.

Your best bet is to go on the pill it will help your periods be regular and lighter and with less pain!. The doctor cannot tell your mum it is confidential between you and the doctor!. Just speak to the doctor about your concerns and im sure they will help you out!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
No!.!.!. but if you're worried about confidentiality go to planned parenthood, they will give you birth control for free and won't tell your parents!. just go to www!.plannedparenthood!.org and schedule an appointment at your closest one!. They accept walkins but u may have to wait a while!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
uhm i know that you can go to a teen clinic and they wont tell your mother about it!.!. if you plan on getting the shot then you just go in once every three months and get it!. they'll supply you with all the info and everythingWww@Answer-Health@Com
