OMG I know what you mean!. when I had my baby I had an epidural but was awake for the whole thing I never even knew they put a catheter in me until after I had the baby and saw the bag laying next to me - still attached) I was mortified! I assume it was so quick which was why I never even knew the did it!. dont know if it's painful as I was numb from my chest down but it didn't hurt when they took it out and I couldn't feel anything while it was in there!. don't worry too much about the catheter they do it all the time!. just concentrate on getting better hope all goes well for you Www@Answer-Health@Com

i had catheters in with my 3 c-sections!.i was awake when they put them in and it does sting a bit when they put it in but since you're having a general anastetic that wont affect you!. when they take it out they got me to sit on a chair and the nurse told me to cough really hard while she pulled it out!. it's a pretty strange sensation but it didn't really hurt!. nurses do this all the time and there is no need to be embarassed!. and like the answer before me mentioned it can sometimes feel a bit weird when you go to the toilet after its taken out but it doesn't last long!.
don't worry about it!.

Ok i've never had one, but think of it like this!.!.!. these people are professionals and have done it many many times, it's would be just another day!.

You shouldn't really worry, your gonna be asleep and won't even realise it's in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I presume you mean a catheter

Remember these are medical professionals who are doing this every day of the week

don't be embarrassed, it all perfectly natural, and as you will be under anaesthetic you won't feel a thingWww@Answer-Health@Com

i must say it stings a little when they take it out!. and when you first wee it hard because your brain is saying your not on the toilet!. i promise it will be fine, i had it and it wasn't in for long xxWww@Answer-Health@Com
