What is causing a decrease in my sex drive?!

Question: What is causing a decrease in my sex drive!?
A few months ago I moved in with my boyfriend and have been living together for almost 6 months now!. However, over the past few months, I have noticed a dramatic decrease in my sex drive!. I love my boyfriend very much - we communicate and get along very well together and I am extremely attracted to him - so I doubt this has anything to do with me getting "bored" of him!.

However I rarely, if ever, become aroused!. When I do get aroused I view it as more of an annoyance than something pleasurable!. Whenever my boyfriend wants to have sex I make up excuses and sometimes I get aggravated with the mere mention of sex!. Also, as weird as this may sound, I almost feel detached from my genitalia - like sometimes I want nothing to do with it!.

I'm 20 years old!. I eat healthy, exercise 3/4 times a week and I sleep well!. I'm doing very well as part-time college student and I am currently unemployed!. I do not have any outstanding issues with my parents, friends or boyfriend!. Everything seems to be normal in every aspect except my sex drive!.

I'm just worried that maybe this is a sign of depression!. Depression does not run in my family and I have never been diagnosed with it before!. Any ideas to why this is happening!? Does this sound like more of a mental thing than a physical thing!? Thank you in advance for your time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It could be due to birth control!. I don't recall if you said you were on it!. Are you more stressed than usual or more tired!? If you are, or if you are feeling depressed, then that could be a cause!. Have you started taking any other medications!? That could also be a cause!. Maybe your hormones are a bit wacky!. Why don't you try visiting your obgyn and talking to him/her about it!? I'm sure they could give advice or insight!. Don't be embarassed!. This happens to a lot of people, including me!.
