I have to take a urine sample, but im on my period?!

I've taken urine samples while on my period, they give you wipes to clean yourself and make sure just the urine goes in the cup, and tell your doc!. that your on your period, most likely he/she sill still want you to take it, and if blood shows up(could be from your bladder, or just from your period) he'll probably want you to come in ones your off your period for a retest!.!.!.

If you properly collect a clean catch midstream urine sample the results should be ok, the nurse should instruct you on this procedure if not ask!. Also let your dr know that you are on your period!. Depending what the test is for a catheterized specimen may be necessary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just be easy !.!.!.u take a tall glass of water !. in the first urination u don take the sample!. then u take antoher glass of water after the first urination!. then u take urine sample!. it will minimize the probability of mess!.

no,but it will show blood in urine,you can just tell them that you have your menses and do the test , but its best to postpone urine test, ask for container to take home and bring back and drop off to lab!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wipe yourself clean of blood with toilet paper before you pee in the cup and you should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
