I just got my period at 14!. Im scared to use tampons!. Whats the worst thing that can happen with a tampon!. PLEASE dont be afraid to right down your expierences i need to know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the worst thing that can happen is really nothing!. but my friend once forgot she had one in and stuck another one in, she had two in there ouch!.

Scary, huh!? The worst thing that can happen with a tampon is Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)!. It's an infection you can get from not changing your tampon frequently enough, or using a tampon that is too high in absorbency!.
The info on avoiding this (TSS) is in the literature inside a tampon box!. Why don't you buy a small box & read the literature!? It might help you decide if they're right for you!.
Other than TSS, which I've never had, the worst thing is a tampon you have to fish out of your vagina with your fingers!. Sometimes they get lost "up in there" or the string disappears and you have to go find them!. Washing your hands afterwards is gicky, but that's about the worst!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The big thing with tampons is to not leave them in for very long!. There is the risk of toxic shock syndrome!. And always make sure you check and remember to take it out-it is not good to leave them in for long periods at a time let alone forgetting about them!. Not trying to scare you or anything!.!. They do have a thing about the Toxic shock syndrome on every tampon box!.
I have had a very good experience with tampons--I've been using them for 8 years and wouldn't use anything else!. They are easy to use and you don't have to feel like your wearing a diaper!. Very comfortable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The first time I used a tampon, I think I put it in the wrong way (if that's possible) so I couldn't sit down for a long time because it was sore, but after practicing, it's not bad!. It's actually quite useful!. I used to be afraid of tampons but now I find them more convenient!.
I would practice using them, like take 5 just to see how easy or hard it is to do so it's not so scary anymore :)

Well, my family has experienced some nasty stuff lol but it has to do with sex and forgetting about there tampons so you dont need to worry about it!. The worst thing in general is you could forget about it and get tss, which is VERY rare but is possible!. Just make sure you keep a track on time and you should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mom has the same problem!. After 30 minutes or so, we start feeling really light headed, tired, dizzy, and just achy all over, kind of like you might throw up or something!.
Then, magically, all the symptoms go away right after I take it out!. So, I don't use them anymore!.
But, this is very rare, and most girls don't have this problem!. Go ahead and use them, but just remember to change them often!. And stay in tune with yourself!. If you start feeling sick or anything, you should probably take it out!.

nothing really!.!.!.just don't fret about it!.!.i was scared at first, exspescially to put it in!.!.!.it doesn't hurt or anything and once its in you cant feel it!.!.as long as you don't keep it in for more than 7 hours!.!.!.if your scared to put it in, just do it fast and don't think about it!.!.!.and usually boxes of tampons come with instructions and all you need to know!.!.!.and personally i prefer tampons over pads!.!.!.!.

lol don't be scared, i was so scared at first too (but I'm a figure skater so pads are out of question) and so i pretty much just tried it mainly because i had to and now they are so comfortable that i would never ever use pads again!.!.!.even off ice lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

You don't have to use tampons!. There are pads or menstrual cups!. Pads are the easiest to use until you are comfortable giving tampons a try!. Some women never use them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
