First period, arhh??!
Question: First period, arhh!?!?
Today I woke up and when i went to the toilet, i found blood in my underwear!. So i guess I got my first period!.
My mum has gone to work, and Im not quite sure how to tell her, I've got my period!.!.!.!.!.
Im very self conscious, and find it embarrassing to tell her, i wouldn't mind telling me mates, but my mum!.!.!. Arhhh!.
I would text her, but im afraid she'll call back and start talking to me about it!
but I want to tell her, but i don't,
do you have any suggestions on how i tell her!?
do u have any advice on this stage of my life!?

Deffiently take Advil (or some pain killer you have in the UK!.!.!.or where ever you are!.!.!.!.) every 5-8 hours (the time will be on the bottle) as cramps may get really bad, and when your mom gets home ask her about some PMS medication, as that will also stop cramps, bloating, and frustration!.!.!.!.
We all hate it, and i suggest using pads for now!.!.!.at least for a year or two!.!.!.

She was excited about it which made me fell weird and I didn't like talking to her about stuff so I know how you feel!. Just tell her, Hey mom I got my period today and then go about your business!. If she tries talking about it tell her you don't want to discuss it and that you are fine!. In time the uneasiness will fade!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

aaaw don't be scared of your mum!! just talk to her normally and then when the conversation goes quiet for a bit just kind of say 'oh by the way i got my first period this morning' or whatever!. she's done it all before so she'll be cool about it!. just think of the questions you need to ask her about it before she gets home so that you don't have any awkward moments in the period conversation!. good luck!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You need to be open about your body, (well atleast this stage of it) with your mum!. I was at my grandmothers, and I was like to her, "yeah, we need to go buy some stuff" and so she took me, and I rang mum, and was like "Mum!. I just got my period!."

Maybe you should text your mom and tell her that you got it, and that you don't want her to make a big deal of it!. Tell her that if you have any questions you'll ask her but otherwise just ask her not to talk about it!. Don't worry so much! I was nine when I started my period!. I was sooo embarassed to tell my mom!. I mean I knew what it was and all , but I knew I was kinda young for that!. In fact, I was playing outside when mine started!. Yeah, so what I did was write it on a chalkboard I had and then showed it to her with really red cheeks!. Hey, it can't be more embarrassing than that!. lol Just tell her and get it over with!. Since she birthed you she knew you were a girl and eventually would have a period!. I never did tell my Mom when I started!. I started late though, like 16, and I think my Mom assumed I'd been getting it for a while, so I was well stocked as far as supplies, and I didn't feel like I needed to say anything!. If you want to tell her, definitely do, but don't feel like you have to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
haha I remeber that day, I was so embarassed, but its honestly not an embarrasing thing, after a yr you'll see its normal and it wont be a problem, however, your mom should know, I just hoped in the car from school and was like hey can we pick up some tampons!? she just looked at me and said sureee!.!.!.!.!. My suggestion is not to use a tampon until your second or third period!. Use the smallest size because when you first start using them they hurt when you take them out!. well ive been on my period oncee!. so i kinda know what you mean, i would just text her and tell her, but ask her not to talk to you until she gets home, or not to make it a big deal, and not talk to you about it!. because i hate it when my mum mentions things like that to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just tell her when you get home-dealing with it in person would probably be alot easier than on the phone just say like
"mom i just got my period, i kinda need help!? please dont give me a lecture though okay!?"
im 14, and got my first period around a year and a half ago (im almost 15) so i was really scared at first to use tampons!. and if you are don't be-becuase they make life so much easier!!

I find that the more I can talk to my mom about, the closer we get!. That's why my mom is one of my best friends!. it is truly is a good feeling if you can openly communicated with your mom and not feel embarrassed!. Of course tell her! She needs to know so that she can tell you what you need to know - and trust me it is more than you learned in health class!. Also, this is a big threshold for a girl to cross!. This is the first step on the road to womanhood!.

when i got my first period the same thing happend!. just be happpy it didnt happen to you when you were at school in front of all your friends!. just go to you mom and tell!. its a natural thing and you have nothing to be embarrassed about!

aww congrats hun! welcome to womanhood! LOL i remember i got mine on august 10th, 2004!. very early in the morning so my mom was at work, yuck what a mess! honestly trust me your mom WANTS to know!. i would wait until she got home!. when she comes home, call her into the washroom & tell her "mom i think i got my period" & she will help you out!. thats exactly how it worked or me, she came home, i told her, she ran a nice warm bath for me & put some ice-cream in for me =] good luck!
