A late period on Ortho Evra?!

Question: A late period on Ortho Evra!?
I've been on Ortho Evra (the patch) for 4 months now!. I change it every week on the same day and it's made my period VERY regular!. I've gotten it precisely on either wednsday night or thursday morning every 4 weeks!. It's been awesome!.

But last week i was away from home and couldn't change my patch on monday!. I left the old one on instead of just taking it off and wasn't able to put a new one on until the following wedsday, two days late!.

Now that it's friday night, my period is two days late!. Could my cycle have been thrown off because of that!? Is that more likely than a pregnancy!?

I'm just really nervous about having a late period since it's been sooo very regular while i've been on the patch!. So i dont know what to think!. Any thoughts!?!?!?

I appreciate it MUCH!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The Ortho Evra Patch is trans dermal patch containing both synthetic estrogen and progesterone!. The delay in your periods can be due to hyper transformation of endometrium due to high dose of progesterone!. Don't worry, you will get periods very soon when the progesterone levels will go down the bleeding threshold provided if there is no pregnancy as you have 0!.1% chances of pregnancy with Ortho Evra Patch!.
It is not uncommon to be late or irregular after discontinuing the patch!. Talk to your doctor!. If you continue to be late and are not pregnant, he/she can give you something that will bring on your period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

More than likely you are just late because of putting the new patch on late!. Did you have unprotected sex during the time the old patch was still on!? I would be patient, you will probably start a couple of days late!.

good luck!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
