Whether or not you get toxic shock syndrome doesn't depend on whether you're awake or asleep!. It depends on how long the tampon is in!. So make sure you change it every eight hours at least, even if you're asleep!. And contrary to what another answer said, you should use the lowest absorbency tampon for your flow, even if you're asleep!. This decreases your chances of TSS!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
loads of woman do it and they are perfectly fine, just make sure you change it after wearing it for like 8 hours or so, depending on how heavy your flow is!. but be creful if you leave it in too long you can develope very serious problemsWww@Answer-Health@Com
