Wait, so you're 13 and she thinks you're sexually active!? That's ****ed up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your mom is right that you should see a gyno, even if she's wrong about your (lack of a) sex life!. But your feelings are understandable!. FYI it is recommended that a teenage girl visit a gynecologist around 15 or 16 even if she isn't sexually active, just to make sure everything is normal; STDs isn't the only thing they check for!.

You will most likely be seen at a small clinic, not at a hospital - a much less crappy atmosphere!. Also, there will be no needles involved!. The actual procedure only takes about 10 minutes, and while I'm not going to lie and say it's great fun, it really isn't so bad, especially if you have a woman doctor!.

Why not compromise - tell her you'll at least go in and TALK to the doctor!. Have the doctor explain to you what the exam would be like and why they recommend that teenage girls have them!. If you don't feel comfortable with that doctor, it's totally fine to request another one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay , so what if that's what your mom thinks, It's the law that your doctor cannot tell your mom anything if you don't want them to it's patient doctor confidentiality ,just say so to the doctor , you can ask for her not to be in the room if you really wanted to (your mom) and for a female doctor because yeah a man would really make you uncomfortable , but it's not the end of the world !.!.!.You have to go to the doctor to stay healthy and sooner or later being a female you'll have to go for that oh so famous visit !.!.Don't worry it doesn't hurt and it's pretty quick , you'll be happy you got it over with in the long run !.!.!.!.Your stronger then this , just pull yourself together woman ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sweetheart, I understand where you are coming from, but you are going to have to used to professional doctors looking at your vagina!. It's a fact of life, like it or not!. If you're worried about having a male doctor, tell your Mom you'll go if the doctor is a female! This is NOT a battle that you're going to win or really want to win!. You need to be seen by a Gyno!. Don't you want to stay healthy and get your Mom off your back!? Then, cowgirl up and get used to an exam that you'll have throughout your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, did you tell you mom that you were not having sex!?!.!.!.why do you have such a fear of needles/doctors/hospitals/etc!.!.!.!?
don't worry about the exam it is not really that bad
this is just something that all females need to do!.!.!.if you are nervous about your doctor ask for a female doctor and then ask to schedule a time to just talk to the doctor!.!.!.no exams nothing like that just a time to talk to the doctor about your fears!.!.!.!.maybe she will be able to help yo feel more comfortableWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know what you mean!. I am deathly afraid of hospitals, and I have to go to the gynecologist in a few weeks!. I know it sucks, but sooner or later you are going to have to go, and it's best just to get it over with!.

You really shouldn't make idle threats about suicide either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
