Question: Have any of you gained weight from birth control PILLS!?
I know it sounds simple and stupid, but really, have you!? I'm 30 yrs old and for the first time I'm going on the pill; yaz!.!.!.!.I've always used depo, which I believed caused me to pack on at least 5 extra lbs!. They reccommend that I shouldn't continue with the depo because of risk of bone loss if you use too long!.!.!.!.!.so I thought I'd try the pill as opposed to those that you implant!. For some reason I associate major weight gain with the pill!. What is your experience!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yaz has a unique formula (very similar to Yasmin, its sister drug) in which it contains a dieuretic to try and help with bloating and weight gain issues when women go onto the pill!. I was on Yasmin and let me tell you!.!.!.I not only had a massive appetite supression while on it, I was racing to the bathroom anywhere between 2-5 times per day!. When I was convinced that my body could not be cleaned out any further, I'd be running to the bathroom again!. I must admit, it really did help with the bloating and not gaining any weight (I am pretty convinced I lost weight!), however having to not only GO to the bathroom that many times per day (let alone having to RUN to the bathroom most of the time, if not all of the time!) is not healthy!.
The only time that I experienced any sort of "weight gain" wasn't truly weight gain but rather some water retention and massive bloating when I was on Ortho Tri-Cylen Lo!. It got to the point that I was counting calories (and I don't normally do that!.!.!.I'm 5'8 and 128 lbs!) and really watching my food intake all the while working a barn job (mucking stalls, feeding horses, handling horses, riding horses) that required a lot of physical labour!. It didn't make sense to me that my weight stayed almost the same, yet in 4 months of being on OT-C Lo I could not fit into ANY of my clothes anymore because I had blown up so much!! I went off of it when I decided that I couldn't keep on "blowing up" and by the 3rd week I was back down fitting into my clothes again and feeling like myself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i've seen more people gain weight from the shot then from the pill!. But maybe the changes in hormones could have done it to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
In my experience, it's more likely to gain weight with Depo than any of the pills!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
