Hormones have not proved to be safe!. It seems since you have had a full hyste rectomy and no longer have your ovaries, you do not need to take the hormones!. There are some good substitutes that are not harmful at your local health food store!. If you are not feeling well or feel depressed or having hot flashes, you may want to try that!. There are also so good creams instead of the pills that work well!.

But, my guess is you have been through the worst part and may not need to take anything!. Of course, when in doubt, consult your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am also almost 60 and my doctor said he doesn't want me on any hormones because my mom died of breast cancer!. I have terrible hot flashes and this has been going on for 10 years!. I've tried all kinds of supplements from both the pharmacy and from health food stores!. Nothing works for me, so I just suffer!. I get these flashes many times a day!. That God I don't seem to have mood swings!. I really wish I had an answer for you, but your doctor should be the proper person to ask!. Sounds like you are doing fine!. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, right now, this is a controversial issue!. If you feel okay, it's okay to stay off them!. If you have unpleasant side effects from "surgical menopause" then I would consider hormone replacement!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
