Answers:
You can, you're going to have to learn to deal with it sooner or later!. But if you're feeling really crappy, and your mom is okay with it!.!.stay home!.

I went back to school when it started, just make sure you have extra pads and maybe an extra pair of underwear just in case :)

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Humph!.i think you shouldn't go!. I just got my first period the day before yesterday!.it was bad!. & it was during the STATE EXAMS! So it was pretty bad!. I had bad cramps and i had to vall my mother to come pick me up!.but then again, today i went to school & i was fine!. Either way,if you go make sure you take lots of pads and change them every 2-3 hours cuz, they may go through(& you don't want that!.!.trust me) also bring tylenol, midol or something so incase you get stomach cramps, you pop a pill and will be fine!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe try tampons
but yes go to school
take some cramp medicine
your period cramps arent bad when you first start out
ive had it that when i got my period i woke up and i was like ugh another period so i went to my bathroom to turn my straightner on and everything and when i did i fell on the floor and curled into a ball crying because i was in so much pain that when my mom walked in she started laughin because she was like what are you doing!? so i dint go that day
but you should really go and not get in the habit of skipping everytime u get ur periodWww@Answer-Health@Com

If it's all new material it sounds like you should go in case you miss something important
I've only missed school once for a period because my stomach was practically tearing apart and I was throwing up and couldn't get dressed and wasn't able to leave the bathroom
So really!.!.I would go just in case!. Just pack pads and make sure your NAWT wearing white pants lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

well you should just keep doing what your doing now!. If you still feel this bad when school starts don't go to school!. Your mom should understand!.
Try taking some extra strength advil for the pain!. btw you could have a heavy flow one day and the next could be lighter!.

If you do decide to go to school bring lots of back-up!. try using tampons so you don't have to worry about changing your pad every hour!. Then change your tampon every two hours if it's still really heavy!.
This is what i do when i have my period and i don't want ppl to see me pulling out a pad or tampon!. I just shove my hand in my bookbag then take out a pad, tampon or both and put them up the sleeve off my sweater!. wear a baggy sweater so its not noticable!. And if you have gym class and you have to change it!. I just take it out infront of my classmates cuz we're all girls and everyone either has it or is going to get it eventually so nobody even says anything, cuz its all natural to all women!.
hope everything works out!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know!.!.!.that is not fun at all!

you can go if you feel comfortable changing pads and stuff at school, you will probobly feel better tomorrow regarding nausea but Pamprin pills works really well on cramps!.

Personally, I say stay home!. Its a friday! Just rest and feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

stay home its friday your first period and you might have a teacher who does not know whats going on and not let you use the rest room for a change of pads so stay at home and by monday you should be pretty much done with your period!. and feeling close to normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

that's nothing babe!. i am 15 and a freshmen in high school i change a full overnight pad every hour on the hour, i have to!. i get horrible cramps and take four advil every 4 to5 hours and i still get up and haul my cookies to school darling so you should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The first one can be pretty hard on your body bc you aren't used to that!. I would say don't go, it is only one day!. Yes, see how you feel but just get used to the next step in adulthood :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah you can go to school!. If you wanted to skip, I would let you since its your first one and all, but there's no reason not to go to school!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wait until in the morning, if you feel like going then go!. If it was me I would probably stay home and rest, but really it is up to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you dont feel comfortable going to school just explain to your mum that you are in pain and stuff and just lie down all day watch some t!.v with a heat pack to try to stop the painWww@Answer-Health@Com

eh i say dont!. changing on heavy flow is a hassle at school and since its friday you have all weekend so your flow will be less!. hey celebrating that you had your period too! hahaWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you can go!. Pack pads, change them between classes, or at recess if you have it, or at lunch!. It'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
