From experience: IUD -pros and cons?!

Question: From experience: IUD -pros and cons!?
Answers:
I have an IUD and I love it!.

Some of the pro's are!.!.!.
-Low maintenance, you don't have to take a pill everyday!. Just a monthy string check
-For some, it causes less bleeding during your period, or sometimes no period at all!.
-Is effective for 5 years!.

There are some cons however!.
-It does hurt when you get it inserted, but your doctor can call in cytotec (a pill that softens the hymen and is inserted vaginally 3 hours prior to the procedure) or novacaine can be injected at the time of the appointment to ease the pain!. After the initial insertion however, the most I felt was some cramping like the kind associated with menses!.
-Your period will take some time to adjust to the new birthcontrol!. This could include breakthrough bleeding and irregular cycles for a few months!.
-Some health care providers might not give you one if you have not had children, but it varies case to case!.

Other than that i'd recommend getting one!. I've had one for 3 months now and I stopped getting a period and haven't had any complications!. Just make sure you check your stings regularly and practice safe sex!.
Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

IUD is a great choice of birth control if you are in a monogamous relationship and both of you have been tested and are in fact STD free!.

Now for the Pro's and Con's

Pro's
- Never have to worry about birth control!.
( No worries about forgetting to take it!.)
- You are protected immediately
- Depending on the IUD you may experience a lighter or absent period!.
- Very Safe and Dependable
- Completely reversible if you want to conceive in later years!.
- Inexpensive
- Procedure completed in a regular office visit

Con's
- Some women experience discomfort while the IUD is being inserted!.
- Some women may have moderate cramping after the procedure!.
- Some spotting up to mild bleeding may occur following the procedure!.
- Will need to insert a finger into your vagina to check string placement!.
- May require another visit to clip the strings if they become bothersomeWww@Answer-Health@Com
