Question: Any advice on this awkward situation!?
i'm a sixteen year old girl!. i've had sex with my boyfriend!. we decided not to do it again until i'm on the pill!. i told my mom that i want to be safe in the future and my period is aweful(i throw up every time)!. and she said okay you can go on the pill!. but she is really only doing that because my dad told me that if i ever need it i just need to ask!.i'm not ashamed of sex its just my parents and it feels sooo awkward!. i am going to the doter today!. i just realised, yesterday that i also have a yeast infection!. gross and not good!. (no sex lectures)any advice!? and will the yeast infection affect anything!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

A yeast infection shouldn't effect you going on the pill, and even if it does, they just give you 7 days of antibiotics for it!. So worst case scenario, you have wait 7 days while you take the antibiotics, and then get on the pill!. Which shouldn't make much difference because you don't want to have sex with a yeast infection anyway!.
And I think it's awesome that you have parents who are that open with you!. It may feel embarrassing, but it's definitely a good thing, and a lot of girls aren't so lucky!. Take me for instance!. I have awesome parents, but I could never talk to them about this kind of stuff, even now, and I'm 27!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell your doctor about the yeast infection, and they will give you something for it, I don't think it will affect you going on the pill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
