If you can't say "sex" then you are certainly too young to be having it!.
The appropriate age is not concrete!. You are old enough and mature enough when you can handle ALL of the consequences that come with sex: STI risks, pregnancy risks, and emotional issues!. If you are old enough to use condoms properly to prevent pregnancy/STIs and feel that you could reasonably deal with getting pregnant and having a baby/abortion, then you are old enough to have sex!.

There is the age of consent which I believe starts at 17 for 'U-Know"!. But, my own personal opinion is that if you are old enough by your parents standards for marriage and you have found the lucky guy the whatever age you are when your honeymoon starts then that is the age that's old enough for "U-Know" because that would be the age that would be old enough if something happened you would have the support of your husband as you begin to start your family if no problems about still being in school and not having enough money or someone who is ready, willing and able to support you in a family of you as the wife, your husband and your new baby!. Then you parents can be grandparents and not worry about raising another baby because you thought you were old enough to "U-Know"!. Be true to yourself and believe this strongly so you can tell your friends the truth!. They are obviously too immature to know what they are talking about!. And this is by no means a funny question or a joke this is a life changing decision!.

age is just a # : but maturity is a cycle : your shouldn't try it till your old enough to handle it, but the problems that can come up can ruin your life!.

17 is the legal age, so before that you are taking a huge risk!. I would wait until you are out of high school and your hormones and emotions are more mature and you can handle the consequences that come from it!.
