A lot of my friends got their periods when they were about 11 or 12!. I didn't get mine until I was almost 15!. I also had a friend who didn't get hers until she was 18!. There really is no right age to get your period, or weight!.
If you have a purse or a backpack you should keep a pad in it just in case!. You can try tampons after you have started to see if you like them or not!.

idd carry areound pads in my bac!.!.!.just in case!.!.!.but if its your first one id take some toilet paper!.!.fold it put it in your underwear and maybe ask a close friend tht has stared hers already (if there is someone) for a pad!.
take a deep breath and then tell her!.!.if thts too embarrasing write a note then slip it to her and go out of the room
