Ovulation can be affected by stress, illness or disruption of normal routines!. If you had a stressful time when you thought you were supposed to ovulate you probably ovulated a few days to a week later, then you have another 12 - 16 days for your period to come!.
Fertility Awareness is one way to track when ovulation occurs, and it includes studying the changes in cervical mucus and using a basal thermometer!. Cervical fluid will change to a wet, slippery substance that resembles "egg whites" just before ovulation occurs and until ovulation is over!. A basal thermometer helps track a body temperature rise, which signals that ovulation has just occurred!.
Another way to track ovulation is through ovulation kits and fertility monitors!. Tracking ovulation can help a woman get a better idea of when pregnancy can and cannot occur during her monthly cycle!. Once ovulation has occurred, there is nothing you can do to increase your chances of pregnancy!. Your next step is to begin watching for early pregnancy symptoms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's normal to be confused, and it is normal to be late at any time in your life at all, whether you are a teen or adult!.
Stress doesn't play a big part in the ovulation, but it could have something to do with it!. Emotions overwhelm some peoples bodies and it can be late!.
I'm 18 nearly 19 and I have had my periods since I was ten!. Since then, I have never ever had two periods exactly on the dot!. It is something that might happen for a while, then you could get back on track!. But, most importantly, there is nothing to worry about!.
Hope I helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

stress can certainly delay periods
it is impossible to know whether and when you ovulated unless you get pregnant
if you are trying to get pregnant - use ovulation predictor tests and basal body temperature charts
if you are trying NOT to get pregnant - please, use contraception every timeWww@Answer-Health@Com

Ovulation is not as clear cut as you may think!. The average woman has a cycle of 26-30 day; however there are those with a cycle of 3 months!. The body adjusts from time to time for a number of reasons; stress, hormonal imbalance; medication; age etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
