Question: Why do women live an average of 10 years longer than men yet men marry younger women on top of it!?
This leaves a lot of female widows for a large chunk of their lives since their 1!. male husband died who on top of it was 2!. older than her when she will naturally outlive him anyways!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that improved healthcare has a lot to do with it!. However, if this age-of-death disparity is still as big in other countries as it is in America, than I am probably wrong!. But, I doubt that it is!.!.!.!.
And the reason why I think that healthcare has to do with it is because it used to not be uncommon for a woman to die during birth or as a result of birth complications!. In addition, with the legalization of abortion, you can eliminiate the 13% of women who die from botched abortions (source: WHO)!.

Women (traditionally - until recent 20th century events) had a less stressful life!. Men (used to be) were the soul bread winners as that is how our culture was!. Over a long period of time, along with evolution, women became used to this "less stressful" life style and are able to live longer because of that!. A lot of stress has a lot to do with aging!.
However there are many other factors as well!. Women are usually a bit smaller than men and eat less which basically makes them more healthy!. Granted when you take extremes you will not see these findings as accurate (dwarves giants, etc - in fact their life span is shorter than both average men or women - but that is due to a genetic disorder)
After womens rights movement and many powerful women in the world today, it would not suprise me in the least to see these stats have a significant lower standard deviation!. Meaning that men and womens lifespan will begin to parallel!. But this could take some time as it takes a while for anything to change!.
Basically, there are physiological reasons that women live longer (the stress argument is used in arguing the genetic fabrication of women even today - for example being born lactose tolerant is a result of evolution due to people living on farms having no water but only milk to drink forcing us to become lactose tolerant or die) I hope you can make sense out of that!.!. Why do younger women chase older men!? Is it because they are "more mature"!? Hardly!. Older means more settled, more money, ready to start a family!.
