i am 12 years old and i have been getting pms signs for nearly a year and a half!. I have pubic hair, my breasts are devloping, i get cramps now and again and sometimes i have mood swings!. i went to the hospital a few weeks ago to have an ultra sound of my pelvic area etc for a completly different reason!. And when i say the doctor a few days later she said that the ultra sound showed that i was developing as i should be and that i there are overies and everything and she said that my periods should start when my body thinks it's right to, because everything is 'ready' for when it does start!. I just wondered if anyone knows an estimated time for when my periods might start so i can be prepared for it!. thanks :) + did yours start when you started gettin pms signs!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey! We're in the same boat! The same things keep on happening to me!. Since there isn't really a way to know exactly when you will start, I would Do what I do: always have a pad with me so I won't be caught off gaurd!. Put a pad in your purse!. In your locker you should take a make-up bag (less suspectable) and fill it with a few pads and a change of undies, that way you will be totally prepared!. If you don't have a pad with you and you can reach a bathroom, wad up some toilet paper and put it in your undies making a temporary pad, if you are in the wilderness, socks make great pads! It sounds like you will start soon though!. Good luck! *(wish me luck too!) Also, pms can happen really early!.!.!. my friend's cousin had really bad cramps and head aches, but she didn't start until 4 months later!. You will probably, most definatly, start before the new school year!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try asking your mum, mostly all girls get it roughly the same age as there mother!.!.!.!.also you might not be experiening pms, when i was in year 6 i was like getting cranky and rude, all my family members thought yeah take something to school, but it came 1 year later

I'd say your ready to start any time now, you usually get all the signs your describing right before your period starts!. Your still young and some girls can start later when they are 14!.
If your worrying about when you are going to get your period this could be delaying it as stress ect!.!.!. can cause periods to stop!. So just relax knowing that everything is developing as it should be and your period will arrive when your body is ready!. Good luck!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you keep some pads and/or tampons with you when you go anywhere for when your period starts, then you are about as prepared as you can get - till the periods come!. It is good you are planning ahead and you can expect your periods anytime now!. God bless you and have a good day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

About a month before I got my period, I spotted just a little bit and it was a month and a half before I turned 13!. Your period could start at anytime!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started my period when I was 12, just before I turned 13!. I got all the signs you said you did, cramps, bloating, body hair, but they had happened before I started my actual period!. Mine came out of the blue, I wasn't feeling very well one day, and by the end of it, I'd ruined 3 pairs of knickers =P
I'm sorry to stay, that you'll start when you'll start!. There's no way of saying when you will or you won't, BUT you have all of the PMS signs, so I'm guessing it will be very soon!. I'd say you should get it in about 3 months time (as you want a kind of answer, this would be my guess =]) and you might want to go and buy some towels/tampons so you can get ready for the day!. But as soon as it starts, it won't stop =P So just bear that in mind!.
And if this all fails, I'd ask your Mum or your Grandma when she started her period, as it usually goes by genetics, so that might give you a better estimate of time =]
