Question: How long does it take for the Mirena to take effect!?
I got my Mirena placed friday, just wondering if anybody knows how long it takes to work!. Immediately!? Also, I have been having lots of spotting ant cramping, how long until that goes away!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mirena takes effect immediately after its placed!. My obgyn stated that it can take up to 4months for spotting and cramping to stop!. My first few months I noticed spotting longer than the cramping!. I hope that those issues clear up for you!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
It works immediately as birth control!. But the spotting could last for up to 3 months, till your uterine lining is thin enough!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
