It means that you should trust and listen to what your doctor said. You are VERY young and as you said, you have not had your period for that long. Periods are VERY irregular for some time for some people when you first start it. And, as I said, it's maybe also because you're so young. Not everyone gets cramps with their periods. If you don't, lucky you. Some people get horrible cramps to the point that they can't function for a day or two. That's also normal, although sometimes it can indicate endomitriosis or other problems. Give yourself time. Periods tend to be very light and can be very bothersom by coming at any time without any notice for a year or two. It will level out. Listen to your doctor.
