Question: I have really bad period cramps is it my contraceptive implant?
i've my implant for 3 years and i'm over due to have it taken out recently i've had really bad period cramps is this a sign the hormones are leaving my body?my friend said it was the equivalent of labour what with the implant tricking your body into thinking its pregnant. is this true?

i dont think that's true. however i think you need to go and get the device taken out. even if you do not want to use the implant any longer, it needs to be taken out after 3 years. while you're there you can ask the doctor performing the procedure about your cramps.
