Your vaginal will be shorted, but by an insignificant amount--about 1/4 inch or less. You and your partner will not notice. Sex should not be painful. In fact, you should enjoy it more. The lubrication you produce will de pend on 2 things--your hormones and how much you were aroused before sex.

Laparoscopically-assisted vaginal hysterectomy, December, 2004

My girlfriend has had a hysterectomy. It took a while to heal but we have a wonderful sex life, even when not using lubricants. It all depends on your mood and the foreplay involved. No it does not hurt any more or less than it did before surgery (so she tell me) and yes she enjoys the sex just as much as before.

You may have some lubrication issues, as is common after a hysterectomy/oophorectomy and in women that are older. That's okay because that's why they make all those fun lubes on the market now.
Who on earth told you your vagina would be shorter? That's a new one. Your sex life should be just fine.

My friend had one at 15 and she has the most active sex life of anyone i know, monogamous but very active. Like she told me the most she's gone is like 9 days. So clearly it is enjoyable after.

Of course as both male and virgin I cannot give you any first hand knowledge.
