ok, heres the sitch, iv had a uti for about 4 or 5 days. iv taken about 3 antibiotic doeses. todays, i noticed a little blood when i wiped, i put in some toilet paper cause i had no pads available. later, there blood like a period on it. i got home and put in a pad there is only the slightest bit of pink blood on it. then, i drank ALOT of water and gatorade. iv peed alot and its clear and i took a does of antibiotics about an hour ago. but sometimes when i wipe there is a little pink blood. now i have a little soreness on my back right side ribs. what do you think? (btw, my period isnt due for at least a week)

Your period could very well just have come early... it may just be spotting in between periods and go away (even if you've never had that before.) If you are concerned though, you should talk to your doctor! Also, continue taking the antibiotics and don't quit until they are gone.



That definitely sounds like you have a kidney infection, that would explain the pain in your rib area and the blood in your urine. You need to get on a stronger antibiotic, maybe your body is immune to the antibiotic you're taking. It's not something you want to mess around with, go see your doctor asap. I hope this helps.

You should follow up with your doctor. The pain from your back can be from the infection reaching your kidneys. If the source of blood is from your kidneys you could have permanent scarring in your kidneys which reduces the functionality. Call the office and explain your situation with the nurse to see if she thinks you need to be seen again.
