Is it okay to have sex 1 month after giving birth and no contraceptives taken ye!

Question: Is it okay to have sex 1 month after giving birth and no contraceptives taken yet?
We plan not to get pregnant until my baby turns 5 years old. I gave birth jan.20, 2011, my menstruation stopped feb. 15, 2011. Should I take contraceptives first.. like pills, before making love with my husband again for me not to get pregnant..

Answers:

You should wait at least 6 weeks to have sex again after giving birth. And you should check with your doctor about everything. However, you CAN get pregnant right away so you should at least be using condoms. And check with your doctor about the pill.

It would be possible for you to get pregnant at this time, so you need to use some form of birth control, like condoms.

If you weren't cut and didn't tear during a vaginal delivery, and you feel that you are ready to have sex again, then it is fine to have sex now. You don't always have to wait the full six weeks.

You are not supposed to have sexual intercourse for a full six weeks after giving birth vaginally, possibly longer if by c-section. Some doctors will want to give the go-ahead before you resume at all.
Contraceptives should be used any time you have sex if you don't want to get pregnant.

To be sheer do not have sex till that ones 5 because there no way to 100prevent it wall you stell do sex I thing it woud be ok to get pragenet right away Theo my aunt had 16 kiddies in 17 years and no twins
