Birth control? PLEASE read and help!!!?!

Question: Birth control? PLEASE read and help!!!?
Alright, so I'm 15 and today I finally got a birth control prescription for Seasonique to help with my cramps and acne. Has anyone taken this bc and had good experiences with it? Or bad? (I'm NOT taking it for contraception! I won't be sexually active for a few years haha.)

1) She said that I should take it the sunday after my period starts, but I'm starting it this coming sunday anyways just so I can get it started (been waiting awhile). So, I'm wondering, what time should I take it every day? I don't want to take it before school because I don't want to wake up early on weekends and such just to take it, but I decided on 9 pm until I realized that I'm often out around then. What if I'm out with friends and I have to take it? What do you all do in this situation? Do you just take it around with you in your purse just in case? And how do I discreetly take it if I'm at a friends house?

2) For Seasonique, your periods are supposed to last around 3 days. What if your period is longer or shorter than that? I think there's 7 inactive pills per pack, if it lasted, say, 5 days, when would I start taking active pills again? Or, if it lasted 8 days, would I just skip a day of active pills?

3) How long after you start taking the pill do you start experiencing side effects (if you get them, say, weight gain, breast tenderness and enlargement, nausea and headaches, etc. etc. etc.)

Thank you SO much!

Hi there! I personally have not taken that bc, but have tried a few other ones.
First off, I take mine in the evening. I set an alarm on my phone. Ill have it in my purse, because no matter where I am thats always with me and just pop it out and go on with my night. As far as being at a friends, maybe take your purse and excuse yourself to the bathroom to take it. Just remember though, ALOT of women are on birth control so you are not alone there!
Second, take all of the seven inactive pills whether your period is 3 or 5 days. Those seven days you do not take any of the active ones. Then that following sunday (or whenever you start your new pack) you begin all over again.
Lastly, it could be a few days a a few weeks before side effects begin.

Goodluck!! :)

1) Take it the Sunday after you start your period, or you'll screw up your cycle. If you start your period on Sunday, or any day before, you should start your first pill, even if your period is over by the time Sunday comes around. The pills are designed to regulate your cycle like this, so if you don't take them the way you're supposed to, you won't know when to expect your next period. I take mine every day at 7, around dinner time. I set an alarm on my phone to remind me. It's a pretty convenient time since I usually don't leave the house until a little later if I'm out with friends.

2) Take every single pill in the pack in order. If your period lasts for 3 days, you still need to take all 7 of the inactive pills. If it lasts for longer than 8 days (it probably won't, especially since you're on the pill) you will just have to take an active pill on the 8th day. It's simple; just take each pill in order.

3) I started taking them a few days ago and so far I haven't experienced any side effects (I'm taking a different pill though). My acne seems to be clearing up but my period is ending so that might be why. I do have a tiny bit of nausea in the morning but it's not bad enough for me to do anything about it.

Good luck :) btw I'm 15, too.

you should wait till the Sunday after your period otherwise your period will be all out of wack and you will end up having more than one period a month, and yes you can take it in your purse and just excuse yourself to the restroom to take your pill, and also if your period lasts longer than seven days just go ahead and start taking your active pills because its usually only happens in the begining and its just until your body gets used to the pill
