is this even legal??!

Question: Is this even legal??
we watched a video of a woman giving birth in health but like how is this even legal? because if R rated movies don't even show vaginas...? like i don't get it, why they can show body parts in birth movies but anywhere else its considered porn?

if it was sex, or masturbating it would be porn, but its a health class, people need to know what having a kid is like before they go and try.

It's not porn, it's for educational purposes only! Was the movie you watched "The Miracle of Life?" I've seen that movie in my health class a few months ago, it was like 5 seconds of the woman's business. Was it gross? Well yeah, but it's not like you haven't seen your own before.

It's not illegal, you probably had a permission slip given out...we did.

EDIT: To the person who said it's wrong if it was a male teacher showing it with boys in the room...how? Guys can be allowed to know what happens during birth too, you can't deny them the right (honestly most of the guys in my class found it absolutely terrible, they didn't get turned on at all). Male teachers aren't watching it for porn purposes either, it's a requirement for the sex ed. unit in health.

v I agree with Amanda.

It's legal. You have to stop thinking about vagina's as a sexual object. When it is shown like that it's for academic purposes and your supposed to be mature about it. At my job I occasionally see penis, I don't look at it and think "hmmm....this looks like a nice penis, I bet he's good it bed". You need to be more mature about things!

yes it is leagl, i'm pretty sure your teacher wouldn't show it if it wasn't. Yes it's a bit graphic but it's all natural just because u see a vagina doesn't mean it's porn. It's just health class get used to it

Porn isn't illegal, it's just morally repugnant. And R rated movies do show full nudity. Ask your teacher why he/she showed it. That's especially wrong if it was a male teacher and there were boys in the class.

No, that is not porn. It's used for a health class, so its purely academic. Idk how to explain it, but everyone watches those videos in class.

It's called an educational video. Maybe if more teenagers watched them, there would be less teen parents.
