I'm on medication and sex doesn't feel good?!

Question: I'm on medication and sex doesn't feel good?
I've been on medication for being bi polar for almost a year now. I'm on abilify and another one I don't know the name of.
Anyway, it totally takes the air out of my tires. I used to be oversexed. Always masturbating and watching porn. Now, I never masturbate, and when I have sex with my boyfriend, it just feels like a penis is going in and out of me.

When I do masturbate, the orgasms are lame and barely feel good. None of my medication is an anti depressant so I have no idea what's going on.

My doctor said to wait until my birth control pills start working but that's not what it is. This is seriously scaring me because without pills, I'm such a ***** and can't control my moods or behavior. I'm a sexual person and this is just killing me. Any advice or input?

Answers:

Best Advice would be for you to work on a Medication protocol that gives you a good balance of what you are after.
You might ask your doctor to have you try different dosing, or different medicines, or different combination of medicines, etc..
Don't give up on finding the perfect balance of meds. It'd be sad to think that a girl who lives sex , now doesn't. NO fun. But I can relate to the orgasm thing feeling different or not great when taking meds.

I don't take the stuff you do, but I'm on a different med for my back and stomach problems, that also kind of slows down my libido. So I get it..

Keep trying to work on a good combination of meds and how you want to feel, and hopefully it'll work out!

It could be that this medication is making you more tired and sometimes when on medicationt the muscles are not the way they normally are. (i've been through a similiar thing)

I would go and see your doctor, forget about the birth control pills just now and just ask about that so hopefully he can give you a referral to the hospital for blood tests and to get changed to different medication. hope this helps
