How to convince my mum to let me go on the pill?!

Question: How to convince my mum to let me go on the pill?
Hey, i'm 14 and I live in England.

I know about the pill, and although at the moment i'm not sexually active, my boyfriend and I are thinking about having it in 2-3-4 months, and I know if we do, I want to be protected.
If we do have sex, we are going to wear a condom (obvs.) but I would just feel allot better if I was on the pill as-well.
My mum would never approve of me having sex (I know she wants to protect me, but she is just a real control freak), so I need other reasons to convince her to let me go on them.

I know that the law says I'm not suppose to be having sex till I'm 16, so please don't go giving me a lecture. I have done my research and I know that the first time won't really be that amazing (like the movies) so it's not like I think it's going to be AMAZING or anything, and non of my friends have had sex, so i'm not being pressured into it or anything, it's my personal choice.

Thanks :) xxx

If you think you're mature enough to have sex, then why aren't you mature enough to get yourself to your GP or Family Planning clinic and ask them to give you the pill? It doesn't have to involve your mum.

Some birth control helps acne, so tell her that's a reason why. but seriously, you are too young.

14 does sound a bit young, but it seems like you know the risks and want to be protected. You sound really responsible.

Just tell your mom you have heavy periods and the cramps are getting really bad. Birth control helps with that. If you went to the doctor for heavy periods and cramps, birth control pills would probably be the first thing a doctor would suggest as well, so that's one way to go about it. If it's possible, I went to a family planning clinic and got pills myself, since my mom is really controlling also. If you have money and there is one close to you, you could probably go and get them yourself.

Good luck!

Your mum is not a control freak for not wanting you to have sex, you are a child, sex is for adults and your boyfriend will be a criminal if he has sex with you. You don't say how old he is, if he is the same age as you the police will probably not do anything if they find out, but if there is a large age gap he could go to prison and end up on the sex offenders register.

I'm glad to see that you are mature enough to protect yourself properly.
You don't need your mother's permission to go on the pill, You need your Doctor's
