My discharge has suddenely stopped?!

My discharge has suddenely stopped. i am a virgin and the past week i have had brown discharge. I have not had my period yet and i did not have a period during, before, or after the brown discharge. Are my periods onthe way? is this normal? is there an infection? thanks for your help :)
