You will most likely need treating again. Probably no need for the Mirena to be removed.
He may well get treated and then he could pick something up off another girl quite easily and pass this back to you. Just use condoms until you are in a stable sexual relationship, it does save a lot of hassle
This is the 'trouble' when we wanna have a relationship/sex with some1....
