It's called hormonal withdrawal bleeding. Your body is so used to the pill that it's begun to rely on it for those hormones. It's not dangerous and should carry on like a fierce nasty period that may last longer than normal.
That's totally normal, it happens when every girl goes off the pill, it's called a withdrawal bleed and it's the last period controlled by the pill. It's basically when the lining of the uterus is shed, just like a normal period. It's when your body is finally allowed to do what is does normally, which is have real periods. Because when you are on the pill, they are controlled by the pill entirely and isn't a real period at all. It will only last 5-7 days and the cramps will wear off in a few days, i would take some buscopan or panadol for the pain. And don't worry, it's completely normal. Although coming off the pill you can expect your system to be a little out of whack for a bit and you won't get periods regularly for a little while, you may not even have a period for a few months while your body gets back to normal, but it will definitely go back to normal, i promise.
