Questions about the contraceptive pill?!

Question: Questions about the contraceptive pill?
I was on it for only a month, I came off because I started bleeding after sex (amongst other symptoms such as majorly sore boobs, weight loss, and much more painful periods) and my doctor wanted to make sure it was caused by the pill and nothing else. It stopped after I came off.

That was microgynon, and since I came off I've only been using condoms: had a scare last week though which made me realise i really need to get back on some more secure contraception. I don't want anything as permament as the implant or the coil. I would go back on the pill, but I don't like the whole bleeding after sex thing. Is it worth trying it again and hoping it stops? Because it doesn't seem healthy! Or is it worth trying other pills? Advice would be much appreciated x

Answers:

You could maybe try the mini-pill - it works roughly the same as microgynon but contains only one hormone instead of two. So that might be another option that could stop the bleeding.
There's also the injection which you get every 6 to 8 weeks so it means you don't have to worry about remembering to take something everyday. Your doctor should have a leaflet with all of the options in it so it might be worth making an appointment to discuss the most suitable ones for you.

Hope this helps! :)

bleeding after sex, has NOTHING to do with the pill
i had that ALL the time and i was not on it.

the bleeding could be from, Friction of the condom, BF hitting your cervix (which is most common)
you are starting you're period. or you have an infection and not getting symptoms (another common one)

try another pill. ask about the ring too if possible

you should go to doctors immediately.
