Is it normal to start your period all over again when on birth control?!

Question: Is it normal to start your period all over again when on birth control?
I recently started taking low-ogestrel 28. Today will be my last pill for the 2nd week. I started my period on Saturday February 5th and ended on Sunday February 13th. I always have had very heavy periods so that's why I started taking birth control. The other day I started spotting a little and then it went away. I woke up this morning and there was blood in my underwear so I've been wearing a pad all today. My stomach has been hurting like cramps so I'm not sure if this is my period come back for round two. Like I said I just started taking birth control for the first time so I'm still new to learning all about it. Is this normal? Will it happen every month? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Birth controls take about 2-3 months for you to adjust to. Meanwhile, it is not unusual to experience some spotting. However, if this proceeds after the 3rd month, you may need to have your dosage adjusted.
