Periods. Girls only???!

Question: Periods. Girls only???
So I haven't gotten my period in a while. It's 19 days late. I have never had sex. I'm 16 and I've had it for a few years. I hadn't had gym since last June and I gain a couple pounds. I'm 5'6" and I weighted 148 lbs. I am still the same height. I just started h.s. Gymnastics in January and I already lost a few pounds. Could that be it. I went from being really stressed to not a lot of stress. Not sure if any of that matters. I just want to know if I should be super worried about not getting my period. Thanks.

Answers:

nah don't be worried. sometimes it goes off cycle.

when my cousin started gymnastics, hers got irregular for a while, i think it's the excersise from the gymnastics. but it's nothing bad.

if you have any questions you should ask your doctor.

19 days is nothing. Stress can cause swings in the regularity of your cycles. As you are still very young and only been menstruating for a few years, your cycles are not as regular as they will be in a few more years.

The odds are good that you will either start soon or will just skip a period.

If you do not have your period for a few months and/or are experiencing sharp pains or unusual discharge, then you would want to see your doctor. Right now, sounds like you are just fine.

It doesn't sound like something to really worry about, once you're life stabilizes, it should return; here's a hypothesis about a skipped period: not ovulating that month (http://blogs.webmd.com/womens-health/200…

not really, it is common, for young girls. But you should have your mom take you to the lady doctor, it is healthiest to be regular.

no you shouldnt be worried because periods dont come all the time

me and my mom and my sister
